Ella Adventure Park and Ankeli Pauwa
In the border between the highland wet zone and the lowland dry zone, just downhill from the p opular tourist town of Ella are the resorts; Ella Adventure Park, just off the main road and Ankelipauwa, about 2 km inwards, on the banks of a river called Kirindi Oya.
Our resorts are about five (05) hours drive from Colombo. There are many routes to Ella, the two most popular being through the hill country and the world famous tea estates or through the Uda Walawe National Park and its herd of wild elephants.
Both resorts mainly cater for the nature lover and those aspiring to have a quiet, calm and peaceful journey in total harmony with nature.
The lodges are built amongst the trees of the thick shrub forest and have all the modern amenities and comforts, including running water, showers, etc.
The serene environment, especially on the banks of the river Kirindi Oya, affords the visitor the setting for perfect harmony with nature. Absolutely quiet, disturbed only by the sounds of rustling water as it dances its way down, the chirping of birds as they mate, music of crickets and the occasional howl of a fox in fear. This is a place to relax and just recuperate from the stresses of modern day living. The undisturbed setting permeates tranquillity and really reinvigorates the visitor, that just lying idle itself, is such a peaceful experience. The soothing environment and peaceful surroundings would be so blissful that slumbering in a hammock under a shady tree comforted by the gentle river breeze would be reinvigorating.
The harmony with unspoilt nature is complemented by soothing activities we have that addresses contentment through harmonising mind, body and soul with nature. Actually peace, contentment and happiness for that bliss of satisfaction are within each one of us. They are however brought forth only by stimulating the mind and body in an undisturbed surrounding of solitude. Then, one would be able to look inwards and seek that contentment. Any visitor is able to reach that bliss of satisfaction and contentment and achieve peace of mind and soul, and a reinvigorated body in perfect harmony with nature.
Luxuriant vegetation intersperses with abundance of wild life; majestic elephant, lithe leopard, sloth bear, sambur, deer and many more. The wide variety of bird life is augmented by large flocks of migratory birds flying half way across the world to nest and roost.
Either the main resort or Ankelipauwa on the banks of the river, provides the ideal catalysts to harmonise mind, soul and body through Yoga, Meditation and Ayurveda. |
