Major Vijitha Welikala
Chairman

Major Welikala is an ex army commando officer qualified with US Rangers. Besides being a paratrooper and paragliding license holder, he is a keen naturalist.

For his contribution to the industry, he won the National Gold Award as the Entrepreneur of the year in 2003 from the Federation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sri Lanka. He also won the Bronze Award in the Western Province for the year 2002.

He was also awarded the Presidential Award for Eco Tourism in the Uva Province and is the founder Secretary of the Sri Lanka Security Service Providers' Association (SLASSPA).Presently he is the President of  SLASSPA .He also serves in the Security Training Advisory Committee of the Defence Ministry and represents the Industrial Security trade at the Wages Board of the Ministry of Labour.

He is presently the Chairman of the Watchguard Group of Companies engaged in industrial security, electronic security solutions, eco tourism and facility management. He also heads the subsidiary AVL Lanka, based in California, USA.

Peter Stewart (AAIV, FAILE. MIATF)
Lead Facilitator

An alumnus of RMIT, Melbourne - Australia and with several years as the Division Head for Arthur Anderson, Peter has worked on global assignments over the past 25years and brings substantial multi-cultural experience and insights into corporate and private work practices and mixed work cultures.

With a passion for sports and travel this has resulted in many outdoor and pioneering pursuits, including work with major network filming projects in Australia, Nepal, Tibet, India and Sri Lanka including National Geographic and pioneering hot air ballooning in Sri Lanka.

As a skilled facilitator and with many years of firsthand experience of coaching, mentoring and running training programs Peter also trained alongside Robert Kiyosaki for eight years (New York Times Best Seller “Rich Dad Poor Dad” 5-years running & World Stage Presenter) Peter enhanced his training programs utilising both the indoors and outdoors’ harnessing activities and adventure as a learning mediums (experiential learning). He conducts corporate and youth programs across the region Asia Pacific, Nepal, India, Sri Lanka and Maldives; for organizations like HSBC and many other banks, Cisco, Nike, Wipro, Uni Lever, Nestle, Toyota, US Embassy and British High Commission, ITC, Tata Interactive, Fonterra, UNDP, Gtz, Compaq, Sony BMG. Peter is an Australian Citizen living abroad since 1995 and travelling Asia for work and research since the 80’s. He is a member of the International Association of Teamwork Facilitators.

Jayantha  Senanayake

Jayantha  Senanayake is a veteran Marketer counting over 35 years of Experience in the field of Marketing both in Sri Lanka and overseas. He has been the Head of marketing of Reputed Organizations in Sri Lanka including two multi Nationals.
He has been able to achieve optimum result in many fields including consumer Electronics, consumer perishables, Property Development, Natural Rubber Product for Export Industry, High Tech Security Alarm Systems and Fire Prevention and fighting equipment and currently in the field of outward Bound Eco Adventure Training.

Clarence (Bobby) Welikala   MII Sec.Lond , FISF

Consultant.

Was a Senior Manager at Unilever Sri Lanka for over 30 years. Whilst at Unilever he underwent training at Port Sunlight Liverpool in the United Kingdom and at Hindustan Levers Bombay India. He is a Fellow of the Industrial Security Foundation (Sri Lanka) and a Member of the Institute of Security UK. Bobby was also a commissioned officer of the Sri Lanka Army, Light Infantry Regiment.
A keen activist of the International Diplomatic Associations in Sri Lanka, and was the General Manager of the Mission to Sea Farers (International) in Sri Lanka.
He has served as an advisor to the Ministry of Defense & Disaster Management.  He is an Executive Committee Member of the Colombo National Hospital.

Amit Chowdhury


An alumnus of IIM, Ahmedabad, and Jadavpur University, Kolkata and an avid mountaineer who has led several expeditions to the Himalayas including Mount Everest. Wing Commander Chowdhury took early retirement from the IAF to bring to the corporate world his rich experience of designing and facilitating motivational, team and personal development programs.

Amit was awarded the Vishist Seva Medal by the President of India. He has facilitated learning initiatives for numerous corporate clients such as ITC, Nokia, Group M, Mediaedge, Comprotech, Tata Interactive Services, ICI Paints, Microsoft, Vodaphone, Oracle, Foster Wheeler, INX Media and Brittania and is an accredited facilitator for administering the FIRO-B® instrument.

Premasiri Wasantha.

Premasiri Wasantha is a    Trainee in Outward Bound Training who has received his Training in field from school of Saba in Malaysia specialized in Rock climbing etc. He has been in this field for the last 15 years.

Kithsiri Janaka Kumara Bandara Bamunuhendara

A musician specialized in classical oriental music, Bamunu creates the much required mildness and tranquility during HR Development Programmes , a true value addition to overall trained programmes.
